Vanilla Forums MailChimp Integration

Vanilla Forums MailChimp Integration

One of things available as a Vanilla Forums customer is something called Mail Chimp push. And what Mail Chimp does is when someone joins your community
their email address can be added to a mail chimp listing in your MailChimp account and you
can use that for email marketing. Let’s take a look at how that works. So the first step is to enable the notion push
add-on which you can find in your dashboard under the browse
add-ons menu item. Let’s click enable. once enabled you going to see here a little button called
settings. Let’s click that. You will be brought to this page. Now as you can see here this is already been
filled in but it’s really really simple and to set it up. What you want to do is go into MailChimp backend as I have done here and under your name you would select
account settings and then you go to extras and under that you
will find your Api Key. If you don’t have one you’ll
be able to create one there. All you need to do is just copy it and paste it in here. Then you want to
select the mailing list you have created and click save. Now the option, that we also offer, is to send a confirmation email so that, when you a new user registers or an existing one changes their email address MailChimp will send a confirmation
asking them to confirm that they would like to be on your
mailing list with MailChimp. You also have the option of mass
synchronization, which is allowing you to synchronize all
the members of your community currently into a MailChimp list. This allows
you to also sent a confirmation email and also
to exclude certain users as well. As you can see it’s relatively easy to
use and it work seamlessly one set up its kinda
set forget . And that’s it for the MailChimp integration. If you a hosted Vanilla customer and you need support you can contact us at vanillaforums.com/help if you’d like to know about future
