Interlibrary Loan: Requesting Items from a Database

If you come across an article in one of our databases that doesn’t already show a PDF full text link, clicking on “Find It” will search our other databases for the full text. Sometimes this search will find the full text, and you’ll see results under a “Full Text Available Online” heading. However, there may be times where the “Find It” search will not locate any full text online. In this case, you can request to have the article electronically sent to you. To create a new request in Illiad, use the links under “Request a Copy”. In this case, I’m looking for an article, so I’ll click “Request a copy of an article, Conference Paper, or Chapter…” I’ll enter my username and password. Remember, this is the user name and password you created when you signed up for Interlibrary Loan, not your UARK username and password. And this will take me to the Article Request page. You’ll notice that several of the fields have been automatically filled. Check over the fields for accuracy, then submit your request. To learn more about specific policies and procedures, visit the Interlibrary Loan page on our website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by phone, text, email, or chat.
