How to use The ProQuest Database Tutorial

How to use the ProQuest database Let’s start at the Manual Library
website. Simply click ProQuest Dissertations and Theses to get started. This is what the ProQuest database looks
like. You can use the search bar to start your search. There is also an option for
advanced search and a link for search tips. Here are some features that you might
find helpful on the results page. Number of results allows you to see how many results the search brought back. Modify search allows you to modify your search. Recent searches allows you to review and run previous searches that you have
performed. This refining tool next to the results
has many options that will help you narrow your search. You can narrow by
full text, publication date, subject, language, database, location, or indexing.
You can sort the results by clicking here and a drop-down menu will
appear. You can sort by relevance, oldest first, or most recent first. You can use special features directly on
the results as well! There are links to the abstracts/details, the full text –
PDF, and the references. You can also automatically cite, email, print, or save
the result by first selecting it (or checking the checkbox) and then clicking
the option you want to use. You can also select more than one result for
this feature. When you open the PDF you will see this
interface. You can use the view tab to see the following: full-text PDF, preview
PDF, abstract/details, or references. You can use these features on the side
of the page as well to help with your search or help you use the item. Here you
can download the PDF, cite it, print it, email it, or save it. Just click the
buttons to access the option. There are other items that are related to this one. They might be the ones you want to check out! This button allows you to see other
documents with the same references as the item. This button allows you to see
what other items have cited this dissertation. Thank you for watching the Manual
Library’s tutorial on how to use the ProQuest database. We hope this
information was helpful to you. If you have any questions please feel free to
