Google’s Cracking Down on Scammers and Spammers

Welcome back everybody,
It’s Jim here at Spectrum, and we’ve got some more great news for those of you in the
home services industry. Today we are talking about Google’s announcement
last week, and the rollout of their new Google Partner Directory. In an effort to protect more businesses and
fight back against the scammers and spammers of this industry, Google is rolling out a
trusted partners directory, where businesses like yourself will be able to find transparent
and trusted partners to get help managing your business listing. Now, with this list, you’ll be able to see
the experts within the industry, and because of their relationship with Google, they’ll
have access to new programs and features that will give you an even larger leg up on the
competition. And provide you a little more incentive not
to trust Joey-Bag-of-Donuts with your business listing. As I mentioned earlier, Google is rolling
out a new anti-spam initiative, and they’re actually providing users the ability to report
third-party violators through a new form. Now, for time’s sake and because we are
so kind, we’ve actually included all the violations in the list below, so be sure to
check it out and make sure that you’re protecting yourself and protecting your business. Remember when it comes to your business listing,
you want to maintain control at all times. Never fork over full control to an untrustworthy
third party. And be sure to go the extra mile and get your
listing verified. It takes a little bit of time, but it lets
