10 WAYS THE INTERNET HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES FOREVER

10 Funny situations that show how much the internet has changed our lives. Gadgets and technology play a part in our lives. But it literally is just a part. Don’t ever succumb to panic. Real life is definitely still out there, despite the huge effect that the internet has to modern life. Nevertheless, it’s funny to think about the hundreds of little ways it has changed our behavior. Here are ten of the ones we’ve noticed. How many do you recognize? “That’s it. You’re going home right now!” Anyone who is born before the internet era, remembers this phrase. A few dozen years ago, kids ran home only if their favorite TV show was about to start. These days, it’s almost impossible to make them play outside the house. Well sometimes they do go outside. But, only if you allow them to take their gadgets with them. Before the internet era, we used to take a real camera with us on our trips. “That’s us on the mountain!” “That’s us feeding a giraffe!” “That’s us near a waterfall!” Your friends would say: “Wow nice shots!” “It seems you had a great time!” These days, well, this is the most popular kind of photo on Instagram. How are your friends supposed to comment to this? “Hi Bob’s legs! You look great as usual!” You can literally put someone else’s feet on your Instagram. No one will notice the difference Staying on the top of the photos here is an ordinary situation from the good ol’ times “Did you pack the camera, honey?” “Sure! hope there’s enough film.” Moving on to these days “Did you pack the selfie stick?” Sure! and I am using it right now! Smile! [Camera Clicking] Years ago you had to call a newspaper to place your ad to sell a car. Sometimes you even had to visit their office. Then, potential buyers would keep calling you to get the details, day after day. Welcome to today. You just click click click on Facebook and done here you go “Hey guys. I’m selling my car, please share, repost!” as easy as pie! Is there anyone who has never been in the next situation? You go to the bathroom, lock the door, ready to spend some time alone? And “Damn it! Bring me some toilet paper!” you screamed so desperately, even the neighbors could hear you. What a shame. But, there is no other way that time. Nowadays, the problem is solved a few clicks on your phone and a toilet paper is delivered to you by one of your family members. Just don’t forget to take your phone to the bathroom. Who knows what else you might need there! Now, what did we usually do when cooking went a bit wrong? “Mom, mom! Can you help me?” These days, it’s more like “Okay. Google, how do I make soup?” “And here you go.” thousands of recipes thousands and thousands. However, I still do prefer calling my mom. Mom always knows better than Google. Let’s move on. You guys these days still flirt on the street. Years ago, they said something like “Hey, does your mom need a new son-in-law?” girls used to roll their eyes. But, I swear each of them secretly dreamed of being in a situation like this, just in order to roll their eyes and proudly pass by. These days you hardly meet people in person anymore. Instead you get personal messages something like “Hey, sweetie, what’s the difference between you and a shining star?” you can still roll your eyes, but no one would see it. Okay, let’s say that lucky guy got the girl. They have a nice date and suddenly the next situation pops up. “How dare you?!” “You are staring at her?! Look away, look away now.” These days, the worst accusation is “You liked her photo!” And you know what you have to do next. You’ll spend a night deleting all your likes you left for other girls. Just kidding! Now do you remember that pain of waiting for the next episode of your favorite TV show? We had to wait for a week? Nowadays, you can download three seasons of your favorite show all together and binge on them during the weekend. Weee! There’s only one problem. The next season is not for another year. Now, what do you picture if I say the word: pirate? Yeah some brave man wearing a hat with a sword and a parrot. Back in the day, pirates were chasing treasure all around the world. These days pirates look more like this. Their treasure is free media all over the internet. And they don’t even have to leave their houses to get it. Looking for an answer to some question? We used to dream if only we had access to all the world’s knowledge. But only books in a library where our salvation back in the day. Nowadays, it’s 3 AM, you’re supposed to be up at 6 AM, but, you suddenly need to know what celery dreams about. Yes, it’s really important right now. Of course the internet and technology have changed our lives in other ways as well. Share your thoughts on this topic in the comments below down. Don’t forget to hit that thumbs up button! 1. I’m not really on the internet anymore like I’d rather be outside then be inside playing video games or something

  2. In my sisters case it happens totally different coz wants to go out to do cycling and does not like to stay at home

  3. yeah, those 90's moments were memorable and fun, but slow and hassle especially sending letters that will took days or even weeks to arrive they'res always an advantage and disadvantages.

  4. Anybody else up at 3am and decided bright side had the right idea, and googled “What does celery dream about?”?

  5. "Before Internet: Wants the kids to go inside.
After Internet: Wants the kids to go outside."

Seems like they are never happy :p.

  6. My brother and I used to play outside all the time. Nowadays kids are inside watching Youtube videos. I guess we might as well enjoy the way things are right now because technology is only gonna keep on advancing and it’s gonna become worse than it is right now. We’ll start begging for these days to come back. I regret not appreciating my childhood so I’ll appreciate my young adult life even if I dont like it.

  7. 2:12 Nah, we still shout for toilet paper, we're never near our phones when it's important.
(why don't we just keep the whole toilet paper supply cache in the bathroom itself?)

  8. I'm so glad I grew up in the 90s. I had the best of both worlds. I wouldn't change my childhood for all the screens in the world. I will always remember playing outside and all the fun that came with it. I would make friends with all my neighbor's kids. It helped that all my childhood I was surrounded by a bunch of kids. We could stay out until the lights came on. Now I have been on technology so much that I'm giving up my smartphone.

  9. Kids go out and enjoy life while you are still young! Create memories. Go bike riding, play board games, sports, etc. Get off the internet! Years go by fast. You don't want your childhood memories being you on your phone all day. Go out and have fun.

  10. The mobile phone : in the bed : youtube , in the kitchen : google, in the living room : snapchat, with friends : instagram, alone : spotify & music

  11. It’s okay if you use technology a ton. I know this sounds really bad, but technology helps the most of us. Sure it has some bad things, but think about animation. People use technology to make it, and it’s amazing how people do it! Video games, they can change your behaviour in real life, in a good way. Video games can make you want to be a real hero. Technology is amazing. We should look on the bright side of technology more. I’m not saying to stay on electronics more, you still should go to school (the more knowledge you receive the more creative you can be) and still work out (working out can make you more happy).

  12. Social media is killing the world. I have cut down on the time on social media and my life has changed so much!
    I’m no longer depressed
I am doing really good in school
    I have an actual hobby
And I no longer feel possessed by technology
    I now have a LIFE🙂

  13. When I was a kid we bullied in person and we liked it! We also took pics of OTHER people! But really,so many various ways to bully and hurt others online. No all technology is good

  14. I may be on my phone a lot, but I still do things that occurred "before technology" came into my life.

  15. Video: ok google how do I make soup. 2:30
google home: Ok here how to mak….
    Me: ok google stop!
My brain:I'm gonna make a comment about this.

  16. 1989
    1) Waiting patiently at a bus stop while alternating between watching passers-by and looking at your watch (and reading/flipping through the same copy of a newspaper/book if you are the type to bring around physical reading material).

    2019
    1) Waiting patiently outside a shopping mall for your Uber ride while alternating between watching passers-by and reading the social media feed/Youtube videos/e-novel/news portals on your smartphone screen.

  17. The Internet is cool, but sometimes, it's good to explore the real world. If you're on the internet all the time, then you will miss everything surrounding you e.g. the trees, the air, the sounds of the birds singing their songs, the smell of the flowers on the floor.🐱😖✔

  18. Some good and bad to the internet Good1. Google and youtube replaced the need for children past age 5 to rely on parents for anything except paying the bills. Bad 1. When the internet is down worldwide due to a massive hijacking WW3 will begin and end everything.

  19. I was so addicted to my phone it almost ruined me. Phones will change your lives to worse if you don't look at reality for a second. Use it as a tool

  20. 4:58am
I don't have to get up early so I'm going to go to sleep when I want. I mean I honestly wish that I had to go to work at six but life is not ALWAYS about money. Really I'd rather live off the land and away from the crazy people in "society."
